Membership

Dungmin Samzang Tshogpa operates on a community-based membership model, open to individuals originating from or affiliated with Dungmin Gewog, as well as well-wishers who share our values of compassion and community support. 

Types of Membership: 

1. Regular Members

   • Primarily affiliated or descendants of Dungmin Gewog including the villages (Chiwogs) under Dungmin Gewog.

   • Actively participate in events, meetings, and decision-making.

   • Eligible to receive support during times of bereavement or family loss.

   • Expected to contribute a monthly membership fee.

2. Supporting Members

   • Friends, well-wishers, or donors outside of Dungmin Gewog.

   • May not be eligible for bereavement benefits but can contribute to community initiatives.

   • Can participate in selected events and receive updates.

3. Honorary Members

   • Individuals recognized for exceptional service or support to the association.

   • Nominated and endorsed by the Tshogpa Executives.

Membership Contributions: 

A monthly contribution of Nu. 300 only per member is collected with the option to pay annually or for convenient advance for desired months. 

All contributions go towards achieving the mission of the shop and also involve organizing community rituals, aiding bereaved families, and maintaining cultural practices with additional support.
